I have a date.
Hi Tabitha,
Woo hoo only 2 more weeks! Are you getting excited? Here's a piece of advice (which I may get flamed for by others), the weekend before your surgery, go eat one of your favorite meals (since Dr. Fallang has no pre-op dietary restrictions). It helped me get through the 4 weeks of liquids post-op, knowing that I had my favorite meal (Japanese Steakhouse) the Friday before surgery. Now, don't go crazy the night before, but those 4 weeks of no chewing post-op almost drove me nuts.
Keep me posted sweetie!

Connie.. i had surgery with Dr. Mikami on 5/4. The first few days and weeks are rough but i did not have any complications. 3 weeks later I became dehydrated from a stomach bug I caught from my DH and daughter and ended up back in the hospital for 4 days, but that was not really a complication from surgery. Just think positive and move move move after surgery... Good luck to you and fell free to ask any ?? you want. i grew up in Bellefontaine...diane
Connie: Take a look at some old posts toward the end of April, There are some good suggestions about what to expect at the hospital and what to bring.
Don't forget LIP BALM, you tend to be very dry afterwards.
I have Mikami's partner, Needleman but had Mikami for an endoscopy, very nice.
Best wishes!!! mel

Congrats ... I grew up in Shady Bend and West Lafayette, OH and spent lots of time in Newcomerstown (relatives etc) and was just there (late May) to do the cemeteries and visit. I live in Columbus, OH. I am soooo happy for you. How long did it take from the time you got the paperwork sent in until surgery was scheduled? I got the paperwork back in January 2006 and some other things came up since then, but now with my son graduating from College tomorrow and moving out at the end of June I can focus on ME and this step in my life. Good luck to you with the surgery Hopefully I won't be too far behind ya. Susan
