HELP
I had a rny surgery over 3 yrs ago. I have gained back 20 of the 60 I lost. I seem to have lost everything I have learned. I need shoving, motivation, ideas someone to talk to. I used to be in here alot in 2003 but lost touch. I am so sorry to be complaining I am terrified. I never really got to lose much and I think that made me shut down.
Ok Connie -
Let's get going together. I'm trying to get off of a long plateau, so this is what we're going to do. Exercise - at least 30 mins and at least 3 days a week. We're going to drink water - at least 64 oz a day. (I love the flavored Water Sensations you can add to bottled water) We're going to get plenty of protein - 100gms a day. We're not going to graze. Our meals will consist of lean meats. And we will take all of our vitamins. I personally take 2 prenatals a day, 2 calcium citrate w/D, 1 biotin, and 1 B-12. I space my prenatals and calcium out by 3 hours. I also add a little liquid iron with a regular multivitamin if I fel myself getting constipated. The liquid is formulated not to cause constipation.
So what do you say Connie? Are you with me? How about the rest of you? Anyone else going to join us?

Connie... i just had my surgery on 5/4 .. OSU has a great support group the first Wed of every month... I have not started to go but I plan to... Talking to others that have had this surgery could be the boost you need...I am working up to 30 min of exercist.. I am doing 10 now...and 50 protien.. I know if you eat your portien first there is not as much room for carbs... and plan out your meals so you wont be as tempted to just grab something........good lusk and hope to meet you at the support group.diane
