Pain with pills, food anyone?

I am having such discomfort with putting anything in my pouch, especially pills. I describe to others as if you ever swallowed a potato chip without chewing it well. I have this sharp kind of pain then I literally BELCH for 15 minutes. When I say belch I mean loud with lots of air. This happens with water, any food and liquids. I am taking my protonix, have tried zantac and mylanta. Any suggestions? Is this NORMAL? Needless to say I am avoiding putting anything in my pouch. I know I am not eating enough or drinking. Mel

Well... I signed on to post the same question. I take 1-2 bites and have to belch-a lot, before I can eat anymore... and the pain. like the food is stuck in the top of the stomach.. It's like my pouch is so full of air, there is no room for food when I try to eat, I am really not eating enough., I will be watching to see what kind of answers you get! I am almost 4 weeks out.. how long ago was your surg? Peace, pam
