Thank you for posting that Saratoga still has a support group. I have wondered about this and did not know who to ask about it. I need to start attending a group again and didn't want to drive to Albany.
Hello, I had Band to DS surgery in NYC with Dr. Mitchell Roslin at Lenox Hill Hospital. He is one of the best revision surgeons. You are in great hands with him. HTH.

Hello, I am.new to this but I am wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for affinity to approve for bariatric surgery? What is the percentage of approval verses not approving someone? I'm nervous and I am hoping they take me. My surgeon is dr Edward Yatcho. I have done all the necessary steps now I am awaiting approval?
I had the RNY done with Dr. Baranov 11/06/2013, and although I haven't written a review, I would highly recommend Dr. Baranov and every last person who works with that program. Dr. Baranov is an amazing doctor, who takes the time with every patient to answer questions and solve problems. Not that I have any other surgeons to compare to, but his skills as a surgeon are incomparable. No joke, from the nutritionist, to the nurses at the office and hospital (post-op), EVERY LAST person is phenomenal at what they do, and the program is so well managed that you are set up for 100% success for your journey, no matter where the road takes you! Good luck!!
My mother had her gastric bypass with Dr. Baranov when he was still with Dr. Graber's practice in Utica/New Hartford. She's over a year out now and is doing really well. I am scheduled for RNY with Dr. Baranov on May 19. I have been to the info seminar and to my first consultation, and so far, I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Baranov and the staff.
I would recommend attending one of the support group meetings at the Saratoga Hospital - its free/ open to the public. Its on the first Monday of every month from 6-8pm. Many of his patients attend. Although I didn't have my surgery with his office, I attend the meetings & hear many great things. I have a couple of friends who use his office & are very satisfied with his staff and all of his associates as well as his abilities.
Hope to see you there!
