Hi Shenna,

I know of their GREAT reputation and was asked to speak at one of their support group meetings. Several of my support group members (LIPO...Long Island Post Ops) belong to this group and are nothing but pleased.

Also, their LCSW, Jean Rafferty is AWESOME and since my speaking engagement we have become good friends.

I think you will be VERY happy there!

Topic: Warning! Comprehensive weightloss center buffalo, ny!

I just want to share my bad experiences with this doctor and staff. I was very mislead in having dr. Hoffman convince me that he will take out my band and insurance will definitiely cover the sleeve surgery. I was denied.
Well, here I am today without a band and no sleeve. Dr. Hoffman was misleading by telling me he knows someone personally at independent health and they always approve his surgeries. He was wrong!!!! He never called anyone, had a peer to peer review during my appeal process, or tried in any way to help me get the sleeve.

As far as I'm concerned he made a quick $5,000 by removing my band.

He removed my band wrong. He left so much scar tissue that I
developed esophagitis and was hospitalized.

Please if you arw considering the comprehensive weightloss center in buffalo, do your research. Get second opinions.
Dr. O'malley in rochester has done the most wls in nys. Consider him and if you are self pay research mx drs. Like i did. Save yourself heartache and deception.

I had my lap band done at LIJ syosset by Geiss, but I had a co worker who had RNY by Cooperstone and I know there was a big mess up. I am not sure if that is the reason since it was 4 years ago. But he left a surgical instrument in her and it started to rust and rot away at her instestines....
