well, I came to this site to hopefully get some support from fellow "losers" and patients who have had gastric bypass. I only have a few weeks before my surgery and haven't gotten any responses. It's very depressing. I keep checking everyday and still nothing. Hope I get more results from the support group tonight.

Dawn, I am in Hudson Falls, right around the corner from you! I am having gastric bypass with Dr. Clarke on February 16th. I am so sorry to hear of your experience. I hope that everything turns out better for you and you are on the road to recovery soon!

Hi there! I just got my surgery date for February 16th at Ellis with Dr. Clarke. I would love to correspond with you and go through this journey with you! I started mine with the seminar that I believe was on December 15th ( can't remember for sure). They gave me my first appointment to be weighed on the 28th and the rest is history (as they say)! Now I am exercising and losing the rest of my 10% and waiting for my surgery on February 16th. Get in touch with me if you'd like :)
Topic: I GOT MY SURGERY DATE!!!
I just got my surgery date last Friday! It is set for February 16th and I am so excited! I had my first weigh in on December 28 which was when I weighed 298 pounds. Since then I have lost 19 pounds and have 11 more to lose before my surgery. I am so excited!! I am still looking for patients of Dr. Clarke's to chat with or just correspond with. Any support is greatly appreciated :))

I am kind of nervous. I guess that is to be expected! Could any of you tell me if you have any problems? Any of you that had Dr. Clarke? I have been following different people on you tube that have had the procedure and have had some problems. I just want to konw if any of that had Dr. Clarke had and problems. I feel pretty confident with him, listening to him at the seminar. He seemed to know his stuff. Can any of you let me know what to expect immediately after the surgery? Someone told me the pain is less then that of a c-section. Any of you woman out there can attest to that? I have had 3 c-sections. I am a little worried about the pain. Please, anyone who with info from Schenectady, please respond! :)

Hi there! I am looking to find some people who have had Dr. Clarke for their surgeon from Schenectady NY. I am lookingto have him preform my surgery next month and would love to get some feed back. Just some notes as to if anyone had any problems or if everything was just pretty much smooth sailing! I just wanted to let people know there is a forum for the community and anyone who is friendly and want to stop by. I was very active 3 years ago and would like to see it become active again. It is listed under "weight loss related"
I am not attempting to offend anyone. I understand that some might not agree with me posting. I am doing it to help LGBT people. Everyone has the right to not agree. I respect that.
