Topic: RE: Vitamin D deficiency
there is no such thing as prescription D3 - if it is a prescription of 50,000 units, it is D2.  Sometimes what they do for people who have medicaid, they write a prescription for over the counter vitamins - like vitamin D (D2 - 1000units) and it gets paid for by insurance and that way people think it is prescription D.  True prescription D is D2 - 50,000 units not D3 - the only way to get 50,000 units of D3 is to get on the internet at vitalady.com from biotech technology or from there site directly.  I think amazon.com might sell it also.

if you go to www.dsfact.com and then you click on surgeon list you for NY state and also NJ, you can get a list of local surgeons.  From what I could see, there are 2 in NYC - Dr Roslin at Mt Sinai and Dr Inabinet at I forgot what hospital but in NYC and Dr Greenbaum in NJ.

I hope this helps.

If you decide to have an RNY, my surgeon Marc Bessler at Columbia Presbyterian is the best but he doesn;t do the DS.

good luck

The nearest one that I am aware of is in Plattsburgh. Don't know his/her name but I will get it for you.

Topic: Airline Ticket Question
I have a sticky situation that I need some advice on. My boyfriend is working toward bariatric surgery. Hopefully in early June. In the meantime the Vegas Meet and Greet is in May and he is planning on going with me. He went with me to the OH event in October and had a blast. (For those of you that went and were at the Friday night party - he was the guy in the hula outfit!) Anyway, the problem being the policies of the airlines regarding "customers of size" and ticketing. Most if not all of them, are pretty much requiring the purchasing of an extra seat if you cannot fit into a 17" seat without spilling over or under the arm rests. I know that this is going to be the case for him. I tried to tell him that we need to buy three seats for us but he is insistent that we will deal with it when we get to the airport. I want to save him the grief, aggravation and embarrassment (not to mention the huge extra cost because there will be no discount tickets at that point) and just buy the seat. How do I convince him to get it now instead of waiting?

Did you check with Highland Bariatric Center in Roch for their list of names of decent surgeons?

The meter is total weight lost, so I lost 25 before surgery and 35 after for a total of 60. I have 59.6 lbs to go to my goal of 140. If you go to the tools page, you can make the same avatar. you can also do your body measurments and keep track of them also.

Topic: OT - Buffalo/Rochester Plastics?
Does anyone know of a good and reasonably priced plastic surgeon or ps program at a university where I can go for a consult? I'm looking for face, upper arms, tummy and/or LBL.

Greatly appreciate any input/thoughts anyone might have...

Thanks!
