Topic: RE: revising from band to bypass any advice

Hi all thank you all so much for your replies. I am so sorry it has taken such a long time to reply. I have been SUPER bummed out I met a AWESOME surgeon did all my pre-requesites ect ect had surgery date for the revision set was supposed to have surgery July 2nd however my insurance denied me because the hospital my surgeon works out of is not a center of excellence. I have been super bummed and trying to find a new surgeon I met with Dr Angstadt today but need to do a little more research bc I really have not heard of anyone that has used him. Hope you all are doing well Hugs

I go to the LIPO (Long Island Post Ops) support group & many people have had Dr Ahmad as their surgeon and they absolutely love him I have only heard good things about him.

I am currently searching for a physician to do my revision surgery (lap band to bypass) I met with Dr Angstadt today & was wondering if any of you have had surgery with him & if you would not mind sharing how you like him as your surgeon

Topic: Support groups in NYC?

Hi all,
I had my surgery on Feb. 7 2012. I am down 82 lbs with 25 to go. I am looking for a support group preferably in Manhattan or the Bronx. My hospital has one but it starts at 5pm and I don't get out f work til 6. If anybody knows of anything please let me know. Thanks!
