Topic: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
Hello Members,

On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery.  It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to".

Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:

Name

If they accept Medicare and or Medicaid

Phone number

Facility

Address

This list will remain here for our members to access and use.

Thank you so much!!!

To my knowledge no, once your BMI is over the 40 range, you are automatically approved because then you are considered morbidly obese.

Thanks so much! I was thinking of going with them as well. Do they require you to have co-morbidities?

My BMI is at 53 right now...I just know that depending on which insurance provider I choose, they have different requirements. Thank you :)

Topic: RE: Ayone else going to have surgery at Ellis within the next few months???
Well you are not alone I am all ready for my surgery   it is Scheduled for  August  30th  with Dr. Clarke at Ellis Hospital.   It sounds like you are right on track I know it is hard to stick with the diet and things but you just have to look at the whole picture   and the end results. I use to work night  shift in a call center and a nursing home so I know life is just a little screwed up when you work nights .. What are you doing  Medifast or Lean and Green ??  I have done both and right now I am at 80+ lbs lost both before and since I have been going to the bariatric center  ?? Feel free to ask anything if I know the answer I will be more then happy to help I am normally on here daily just checking things out .

Well it looks like no one has poster here for awhile. Well I have recently started the process of lossing 10% of my weight. I have 30 lbs total to lose, i have lost 10lbs so far. My next weight in is Tues August 21. i work night shift at a hospital and have been finding it hard to stay on track. i am hoping to at least not gain any weight. I would love to hear from other people from the area who are in the process.
