Let's see....I enjoyed the beautiful day with my hubby..we went to breakfast then went for a long walk..then of course..work.:) The weather has been so beautiful...I hope it stays until March..lol! I don't like the winter too much...snow is pretty from the inside but I don't like it if I have to be in it.
Anyhow..my surgery date is coming fast..Phsych visit Aug.17th..NUT Aug.18th...

It is Sunday night and almost time for bed. I hope everyone had a great, relaxing weekend! I didn't do much. My hubby could not walk due to back issues so we laid low. Did go to dinner, grocery shopping, pool time and reading.
Now getting mentally prepared for the week ahead! THis is my last week to work summer school and then I will be off till after Labor Day. Whoo, hoo!
I was up a few pounds yesterday so I had more protein but find myself craving carbs and grazing. Also ate 1/2 jelly donut from DD today! YIKES!
Mikey posted a good question asking what people do for exercise and it has me thinking that I need to start soon. I would love to try a zumba class!

Had a conversation with this one person. It started as many other conversations that I get into. Where people think that WLS is the easy way out. This was one of my wifes cousins. She told me that she lost 150 pounds by going to the gym.
We started talking about diet and excercise and she was surprised by my knowledge. We started comparing notes and giving each other advice. Her opinion of what I did changed. The best advice she gave was to start taking classes at my gym. Something that I was thinking of doing anyway.
She started telling me how much she enjoyed her spin classes and how it motivated her to go to the gym.
Today, after my workout I picked up a class schedule. I'm going to give it a shot.
Food was good. Tried some pasta (it was in a salad form with tunafish) for the first time since surgery. It was great...But something I definately need to stay away from for a bit longer. According to my doctors program I'm not supposed to do pasta until the 8th month. I've been in a stall for the last two weeks.

Today I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the treadmill and about 20 minutes lifting weights.
Normally I do 20 minutes on the Elliptical. When I got to the 15 minute mark I felt like running so I headed over to the treadmill.
Funny thing happened (at least I could laugh at it). But as I started running I could feel the excess flab slapping on my back and butt. I had to slow to a brisk walk as it started to hurt.
Anyone have any ideas as how to run without beating yourself up?

I am just getting ready to go out and get something to eat. Feeling like some BBQ ribs, chix or pulled pork!! YUM!
The weather was (errr....is) beautiful here! Sun was hot while I was sunning myself for a few hours at my mom's pool. I hit a few garage sales early this morning and got a few bargains. I was so pissed though....I bought a set of 4 crystal, heavy matching tumbler glasses for $1 buck and I got them home...and the box fell out of the car and they BROKE!
They were sooo nice!

Oh, I tried CLICK for the first time today. It was YUMMY! I was always afraid of the caffiene content but it was delish over ice with a little French VAnilla creamer.
Now I am going to order up some!
