Hi, I live out in Eastern Suffolk. I am scheduled for surgery 11/18. I know there is a support group meeting inSayville at the Sayville library monthly. I believe the website is LIPO.com. By the way I am ovwer 30...way over, just turned 54. Still could use a friend though.

Hey girl :) I noticed your surgeon said you plan on having surgery with Dr Kwon... from Tri State Bariatrics, right ?? I had my RNY surgery with Dr. Weiss in July !!! I usually go to their Fishkill office but I've been to Middletown office also. They are a great team over there :)As for the insurance thing.... if I were you & I wanted off his insurance, maybe I would call that insurance & see what steps I need to take to get off of ex's plan. I would also call a Medicaid office & ask them how long after you are dropped from his insurance would you be able to apply and how long the process takes to actually be covered by medicaid. Good luck !!!

Does anyone know what happened to him??? I started the program at Orange Regional Medical Center about 2 months ago and he was my surgeon, I get a call from his office about 2 weeks ago saying he left abruptly and the other doctor will be taking on my case/doing my surgery....
Hey Jess! I'm pre-op, but I'm living in New Hampton (Bordering Goshen and Middletown). Have you posted on the sleeve forum?

One thing I am sure of is that in a month when the clear liquid diet ... The pain of the incisions and the neausiousness is over I'm going to embrace this new life ..thinner ... Stronger ... And with a less " heavy " heart ..

Bariatric surgeons regularly hold patient reunions for their patients. If your bariatric surgeon has an upcoming Patient Reunion, please reply to this post with the surgeon's name, date and details so other patients of your surgeon can be aware of the upcoming get-together.

Aetna themselves covers WLS, but certain companies do not offer it. Which is what I'm dealing with currently. My insurance is Aetna, through my ex, at Chipotle Mexican Grill and the company it's self doesn't cover it. I would have to go to his HR and beg them to add it on to their plan.
