Topic: POSE LI Support Group Tonight!
Hey All just a reminder that POSE Li has moved! We will be meeting tonight in our new location for the first time! In my office! Woohoo! I have opened up a private practice as a social worker finally! Catering only to bariatric peeps and I am super excited! This also means i never have to look for room for my support group again!

The address to the office is 2382 Grand Ave, Baldwin NY 11510.

You can take the Southen State Pkwy to exit 20S Grand Ave. Drive 2.4 miles and the store will be on your right once you pass Sunrise highways.

You can also take the Meadowbrook to Sunrise Hwy West and travel 2.2 miles and make a left on Grand Ave.

3 blocks down on the corner of Grand and Prospect St on the right you will see a gold store. Make the right onto prospect st and the first left into the fire house pass the firehouse building you will be in municipal parking. Its nice and easy and free and safe. Walk back to prospect and cross the street you will see a metal door with a Sign that Says something about POSE. That is my office :-)

The meeting will start at 7:00pm  It will run to the same time 8:30 :-)
I look forward to seeing you all tonight!

If you get lost or have any questions feel free to call me!

Topic: RE: Dr. Pucci Or Dr's. @ Albany Med?
I am a patient of the Albany Medical Center Bariatric Group. I am very pleased with the treatment there. I can't say much about the doctors that are currently there. My surgeon passed away last summer and my care has been transferred to Dr. Bonnevile who I will be meeting for the first time tomorrow. He does do the sleeve. I believe Dr. Singh does as well. From what I have heard they are both fantastic doctors. The staff in the office is great. Very efficient and friendly.

Are you absolutely sure that your insurance has no wiggle room? Sometimes there is misinterpretation of the wording. It may sound like you are not covered when in fact you are.

Topic: Dr. Pucci Or Dr's. @ Albany Med?

Hi All ~

I live in Dutchess County & I am a self-pay patient for the VSG.  I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Dr. Pucci in Orange/Rockland county or any of the Dr's out of Albany Medical Center?

I really want to use Dr. Cerabona. I have gotten all my clearances and am "ready" to go. The only thing that is holding me up is that I am just having an extremely hard time with the fee of $20,000.00 for Westchester Medical Center for three days...

And, unfortunately, I am not comfortable with the whole Mexico idea... So I have decided to see what else is out there that might be a little more reasonable, but hopefully, just as good! I have already contacted Dr. Yatco's office @ Lennox Hill and their fee for the sleeve was comparable to WMC's.

Also, I am self-pay due to exclusions on my health insurance at work, so I have no wiggle room to fight/appeal in that area, unfortunately.

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions/info :)

All you do is buy a pack of seeds from william sonoma and sign up for there biweekly email lists. They tell you everything you need to know!  here is the link if you would like to join up !

I had SEVERE health issues.  I contacted practices from Buffalo to NYC, even John Hopkins....no one would touch me.  I did some research and found Dr. Schauer in Cleveland Clinic.  He performed it without a hiccup.  The facility and people were awesome.  Whenever I'm out that way, I stop by - even on weekends, I visit the Bariatric ward - some of the nurses still remember me (almost 3-years post-op)...and of course, I encourage the newbies in the hall to walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip......

 GROWING YOUR INNER GARDEN

In order to grow anything in a garden, a lot of factors must come into play--properly planting the seeds or flowers into the soil, watering, weeding, fertilizing, and ensuring adequate sunlight. Are you tending to your own goals in the same fashion? Getting that new job takes determination and positive vision to make that dream a reality. Do you believe in your abilities? Believing is a wonderful, powerful tool but it takes more than that. You've got to fight the elements, take good care of yourself, and dig down deep for courage in order for your seeds to be cultivated into success.

Dr. Hoffman at Buffalo General did my sleeve... and the office is wonderful.  I was having a problem and needed to call him on a weekend... and he called right back within the hour!  So far, I am very happy!
