Hello everyone, Just had to let you all know I just found Citracal now makes a Chewable Calcium Citrate. They are called Creamy Bites and I found them in Wal Mart today! They have 500 mg of calcium citrate plus 200 Iu of Vitamin D. I know just about everyone hates to swallow those big horse pills, and you have to swallow two for 400mg of calcium. You just chew on of these bites for 500mg. I got the Chocolate Fudge, not bad. I remember they had a chocolate mint and a caramel, plus two other choices which I forgot. There are 30 chews in the box for $5.96. Was so excited I could hardly wait to get home and post this to everyone out there! Enjoy! Mary L 306/199/130

I got the chocolate mint on Monday, but let me know if you try caramel and it's good because I wasn't too crazy about the choc mint! It's not as tasty as viactiv, but it's the right calcium and since I can't swallow big pills, this works for me! Vi

Mary: Thanks for the heads up! OPTIONS ARE GOOD! Humm now at $6 a box, I'd need 4 a month (I do 2,000mg ca citrate a day!) or $24.... I use citrical 2 tabs 2x day for 1/2 of my calcium, I use UpcalD citrate powder 1 tsp scoop (500mg elemental ca citrate each scoop) 2x day in am and eve shakes for other 1/2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AS for costs: This I had saved from a while back.... Bariatric Advantage chewables are bottles of 60 for $12.99 these are 400mg tabs (you'd need 5 a day to get 2,000mg a day, a cost of one bottle every 12 days or about 3 bottles a month for $39 BEFORE S&H for a month. at vitalady at BA: https://bariatricadvantage.com/cgi-bin/custserv_ba.cgi 60 are $13.95 and 180 are $29.95 pre s&H UpcalD is a can $22.99 for (old cans about 1 mo ago were 180 doses/new onesare 227 doses) and 4 needed a day so $22.99 got you 45-57 days...definately cheaper! the packets: 60 for $6.25 need (BUT I wont open all those packets!) 4 a day, need 4 boxes a month for $24/mo pre S&H........ Beths protein boutique mayhave some cans left at $22.99: http://bethsproteinboutique.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=310&osCsid=0d7e5de98f25e885a5b05aed2b12a3f7 Vitaladys liquid calcium citrate one serv is 250mg ca citrate so need 8 doses a day there are 64 doses in a bottle for $18.99 (pre s&H) so one bottle every 8 days or need 4 bottles a month about for $76/mo wow! My Citrical are 500-600mg for 2 tabs, 180 tabs are about $9 at walmart NO S&H so 8 a day one bottle is good for 22.5 days so again MUCH cheaper yet! about $11 month I'd say! Vitalady has ca+ citrate capsules u can open 500mg SALT WT so if 29% elemnental a pill has 145mg calcium needing 14 caps total a day 240 caps in a bottle need a bottle every 17 days or 2 bottles a month..$14.99 bottle so $30/mo pre S&H ****Write to Global Health they will send u a few packets as samples. We are fighting w/ them currently to keep their cans (180 doses ina can) vs justmaking packets, but it is an option... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Give us a call for free samples. I also found them at Walmart today and bought both mint and fudge. I tried the mint and they will do. The slow dissolve ones I bought from Bariatric advantage hurt the roof of my mouth so I am happy with the creamy bites. One of the other flavors was lemon cream. If you take two a day, a box is only a 15 day supply so they are a bit pricey. At this point I am happy to have the "right" calcium in a form I can tolerate.
