What a suprise......

Well i went to see the hematologist today and he decided i needed a blood transfusion. Still bleeding...So i was sent to the treatment area and given platlets. All is fine and dandy. As the platlets are finishing i notice a small rash on my chest. I call the nurse and by the time she gets in the room i am shaking. I got the chills and cant stop my body from shivering. Heart rate up to the 130s-140s. I had a reaction to the platlets. I was given tuns on benadryl iv and a percocet for the pounding headach. I fell asleep for about 1 hour. When i got up my temp was a little up to 99.5. They didnt want me to leave. So i had to stay till temp was normal. About an hour after that i was let go. I just got home about half an hour ago from a 10am appt. So now if the bleeding stops by tomorrow i will still have the lithotripsy on thursday, if it does not then i need more tests before i am allowed to have it. Will keep you posted! LisaMarie

Geez, hon, I'm sorry you're going through all this! I hope things calm down soon. Who's been taking care of your babies through all this? I'm sure that's another load on your mind unless you have someone available to help you. Hugs, Vi
