Today I tried something fifferent, to try and cut back on my calorie and sugar intake. I made my protein shake with 3 cups of water and 1 1/2 scoops of protein to equal 30 grams of protein. Now, can I count this protein drink as 24 oz of water toward my daily water intake? I am hoping the answer is yes. Hugs Marianne

Hi Marianne! My nutritionist said the protein shakes count towards our daily liquid intake. YAY! Erin

Yes, all liquids and ice [ice pops too!] count towards your fluid intake. xosm

Marianne: There are differing thoughts out there on the answer. Is there any taste to a shake made with 3 cups of water? That would be my question I suppose. The 'PURISTS' say NO, meaning they recommend 8 cups of UNADULTERED PURE H2O, no crystal lite powder, no protein powder, no decaf tea etc. Those believe the addition changes the benefit for the body. I myself shoot for 8 cups PURE H2O and then what I get above and beyone is bonus (usually at least another 8 cups). What is right is what works for you. (and your wt loss/Kidneys I suppose)...
