Today is THE DAY!

Sorry for the repeat , I was so excited that i posted this first on the main board not realizing i was not on the NY board! .......Today i will meet my surgeon. I can call myself PRE-OP tonight!!!!I am really excited. I am looking at this day as a new beginning~! I dont need to wait anymore. My goal before surgery is to learn how to cook and to detox myself of all the bad food. Lose weight is good too before the surgery, But I think he will not MAKE me. I am going to do that for myself. I want to be as healthy as i can be going into surgery. I walked a mile yesterday not because i had to ,but because i wanted too.It felt great! I explained to my Sara That the MD will fix my stomach so that i cant eat too much . The sad thing was that she asked if he could fix her too. She is at the most maybe 5 pounds overweight if that. I do not ever indicate that i think she is fat . I had a hard enough time with that with my parents .I responded to her that i will learn how to cook and find out which foods are healthy , and she could help me with that. I have also included them in my walks. I Thank all the friends I have made here, all the resourses and mostly all the support! THANKS!!

Kitty, YEAH you are on your way hun. I wish you the best meeting today. That is really good that you have included them with all of this so they learn to eat right as well, that is just awesome and you have felt some of the power with taking control of your life, it sure feels awesome right???? YES!!!! its a great feeling . up till i made the decision i had given up all hope of being healthy. The surgery will definetly be my tool of choice! I now know its that the weight i loss now will stay off . Thankyou!.......................................Kitty

Kitty, It is so super that today is the day you meet the surgeon. Before you know it you will be old friends. Heehee. Wow, I cant even remember when I first went for the consult w/my surgeon. It seems like many moons ago. I found the original paper he gave me at the 1st consult (w/the list of tests/appts I needed to do before I got a date) and it was dated 4/something/04!! Holy cow! Good luck and I wish you nothing but the best. Please keep us updated on you and your journey! Take care.
