Had plastics, have great info!

Hi, I just wanted to share some info with other NY members about an excellent plastic surgeon. No, I do not work for him, I'm one of his patients. I've been a member of OH for over a year now, I mostly lurk though. I had gastric bypass surgery Jan. 31, 2005. I've lost about 95 pounds and am below my surgeon's goal. I'm at my own personal goal of 125 pounds. My breasts and tummy were horrible from years of being morbidly obese and carrying 6 babies, 5 of which I breast fed. I also had 5 c-sections. I had a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and a breast lift on Feb. 16, 2006. I can't tell you all how THRILLED I am with my results. I have a before and after shot of my breasts here: They are my bare breasts so if nudity offends you, please don't look. My plastic surgeon is booked until July, he is currently at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. In July he's joining Richard A. Skolnik's practice one of the TOP 10 plastic surgeon's in NYC! My plastic surgeon is planning on making body contouring after massive weight loss a major part of his practice. Hi LisaMarie, Thank you! Before I went to Dr. Schulman I went to a plastic surgeon that was in my insurance network. They denied me, I appealed and they denied me again. I was so upset, I knew they'd never cover it. I was tired of dealing with them so I went in search of a new plastic surgeon. I found Dr. Schulman and self payed. They say everything happens for a reason and in this case, I so agree! Hugs, Stacy

Hi, you look great you must be so happy, can't wait to see the results of tummy tuck. I am in process of getting info, prices, I have 2 appts with two surgeons one in Mt Kisco and Poughkeepsie. I dont believe my ins co will pay. You self paid? was it very costly? Enoy the new you, Debbie

Hi Debbie, Thank you! I am very, very happy. Right now my plastic surgeon is the Chief Resident of plastic surgery at Mt. Sinai hospital. Since I went through the residency program I only paid $3072 for both of my procedures! Can't beat that. In July Dr. Schulman is going into private practice but will be at Mt. Sinai's part time. Hi Debbie Who are you seeing in Poughkeepsie? Let me know what you think of him! I'll be needing one next year. BTW, I have MVP and they will pay for a tummy tuck if you have lost over 100 lbs and kept it off for about 6 months. Not sure which insurance you have though, but some of them do pay for the TT. When the time comes, I'm definitely going to need that! Vi (I had Cerabona too!)
