I here ONEDERLAND at my heels!!!
Hi all,
I can't believe it, only 5 more pounds to ONEDERLAND!!! Yippppee!!!
Boy has it been an incredible journey so far. I am sooooooo happy I made this decision. I feel better, look better, and have so much more energy and excitement in life. My general feeling of my health has improved so much. I can breathe, sleep, heartburn is gone, knees feel much better, back feels much better, I don't have heart palpatations anymore, and I have kicked my sugar habit, and the biggest thing of all, speaking of sugar, is that I have hopefully wiped out any chances of my getting diabetes, which I was extreme high risk for, my digestive system seems to be working like a perfect machine, (pardon the TMI here), I am regular in the BM department once a day everyday, I have not had diarreah since I got of full liquids, and I can eat things now that used to give me diarreah almost instantly, now no problem, I am so happy that I can eat my favorite thing in the world is salad while I am at work, with no problems after. But of course it has to have my proteins on it. I am for the first time in my life, aware of what I put in my mouth and I now eat to live, not live to eat.
So anyway, ONDERLAND here I come. Ready , Willing, and YES ABLE!!! Able to exercise. Able to be sexy. Able to be me. Able to reach my goals.
I have not been in ONDERLAND since I think around early 1990's it's been a loooooong time. So please everyone pardon me for probably sounding like a foolish silly goose. But my excitement is just bursting out of me.
Thanks for all your support thus far in my journey. I am not on the computer quite as much lately, but I do read the posts every couple days, and I appreciate all the great things disscussed here, it has helped so much in so many different situations. Thanks again everyone. You are my angels

Shannon, how totally inspiring! I am so happy for you and your success. With all the warnings and risks that are put out about WLS, it's great to hear the other end too. Congratulations to you.
I am waiting to schedule an appointment with my surgeon. I just reached the 10% weight loss goal, so every second is an eternity before I can get down to having the surgery.
Thank you for the inspiring update!
Amy
Thank You Amy,
Before you know it you will get there, and you won't believe how fast things go once you enter the hospital. I am 3 months out and don't know where it all went. It's an amazing journey and I wish you the best and hope that you have the same results as I have had. I am fortunate to have had a great success, many do unfortunately have some negative outcomes, but I think if you have a great outlook and think positively I really think it helps for a great success. I hope you hear something quickly so that your goals can be reached.
Have a lovely day,
Shannon

Shannon,
Thanks for your kind words hun ~hugs~ I am about 50 lbs away from my own goal of 125 lbs. I am only 5' 1/2 inch so that is really not that thin for my height but I like the way I look there.
Take care

Oh Tavia,
Thank you sweetie! I was feeling guilty writing this post because I was thinking of how different a journey you have had than me, but I also think that it is good for all to see both sides of the spectrum. You have been through soooo much and have kept your sanity and your humor and have been an enlightning breath of fresh air to us all. You have an amazing spirit and you just shine, keep on being you. I know you still have a rough road ahead but if anyone can make it through all this you will! Have a wonderful day.

Shannon,
Please do not feel the slightest big guilty!! I love to hear how wonderful everyone is doing, it gives me hope. Thank you so much for what you wrote, it actually choked me up alittle bit. Support like this online and "real life" is what keeps me going to be honest, so think of it that way. Take care.
