My Surgery Doc. Had me go to both people, before i got a date for surgery. My Insurence was approved pretty quick. Just make the appt. and go and keep bugging your insurence company. Just don't give up. I started the prosses in Sep. 2005 and I had my surgery on Feb. 9th,2006 and It was all worth it Beth

how many times did you need to go, my insurance does not cover the nutritionist, and who dod you call at insurance company to bug, just customer service or did one specific person handle your claim?

I had to see a nutritionist & a psychologist before insurance would approve. I had to go twice to each and it took about 4 months total.

I have United Healthcare and all I had to do was go to 1 visit and my Nutritionist gave me a letter to send to my Dr and I was approved right away. I have been hearing though that some Insurance companies want to see a 6 month treatment. (I hope you dont need it) But every company seems to be different. Ask your Surgeon Im sure they know what will be required of you. Louis
