Big News

Good Evening all, I just read that wal-mart is coming out (supposedly) soon w/ a generic form of "splenda". I looove splenda and use so much of it. I only buy splenda in walmart b/c it is just too expensive everywhere else. I only use the packets, I cant deal with the pouring one. This is exciting news for me! Hey Lisa, I just realized the title of my post might have scared people due to it being attached to my name. oops. No, i'm not dead yet, just happy for cheap sucralose! I am doing ok. Thanks so much for asking. My fever is gone, which is good. I got a whole banana in today which is a big improvement from what I was eating the rest of the week. On the other hand, something is still not right. I do feel alot better than before the last surgery but something is still happening. The functional problem(the stasis of the food) feels like its still there. He believes that maybe I just need to built a tolerance to fight the stasis. Hopefully this is the case and the stasis will go away on its own soon. He then won't have to go back and built it all over to force it to work. It is pretty much up to me to decide if this is liveable or not. I am giving it a couple months to decide and see if there is any improvement. Now I will just focus on eating as well as i can. I have an appt. w/him tomorrow. We are concerned to see my weight but what can you do. I just know what he is going to say to do if/when my weight falls to a certain point. Then it will not be up to me anymore. This all is insane. I am my insurance companies worst nightmare! Enough is enough...arent you glad you asked how I was? Heehee. Take care. Tavia

Tavia; Thanks for the Heads up. I buy a boat load of Splenda! I get mine at BJ's 700 count box, can't remember price I think $13-14 box? or so.. Cheapest I have found! Jamie

Jamie, wow 700 for 14 is pretty good! I never even thought of looking in costco for splenda. I do have a phonia of costco since after my surgery b/c everything is just so BIG in there. It is like the land of the giants. Hee-Hee. Tavia

Tavia, Yeah I am with Jamie, I get the "big" box at Sam's near me and I know what you mean about the "big" lots of stuff at the doscount places. I only get things that will not go bad and I can store in a pantry, plus I hate to see all that candy sitting there. Sometimes I can miss that stuff so bad. Hun I am glad to hear you are doing better and I sure hope it gets better for you over the next month. Maybe just some healing time is what your body needs now. Keep us posted and I wish only the best for you hun Debra P
