Do you miss anything?

Hi Kathy, Yes! That is a good one. I am always cold. My poor husband has to deal with the heat being turned on so high all the time. He wakes up with no blankets/quilt in the morning b/c I steal them all. I wrap myself up like an egg roll. Hee-Hee. I know this is sad but when I am in the hospital, my husband has to go hunting for more blankets for me b/c I cant deal with the two little floozy ones they give you. I freeze to death. He disappears for 45 minutes but always comes back with like 10 thick blankets. He goes onto different floors and collects them, heehee. The head nurse calls my husband the blanket bandit. Take care and keep warm! Tavia

Hi all, Great thread Tavia! Only being out 3 months now, I think I am still in the learning stages, but I have to agree with Deb, I really miss enjoying a full plate of food, or a big huge non stop gulp of ice cold water. Sometimes the food just tastes soooo good, but can't even finish what I put on my mini "thats enough" and I can put the fork or spoon down. Oh and one more thing I really miss is my big bowl of ice cream at night when vegging out in front of the TV. Chinese buffets is a big one too. Oh boy I better stop, LOLOL. So far the attention I am getting is mostly from my clients, every week or two they all ask, well how much have you lost now. I swear I am going to post it on the white board that is next to me, so I don't have to keep repeating myself, but all in all, I don't mind, its exciting and everyone is truly happy for me, and they are beaming as much as I am. So its all GOOD. Shannon Arnold

Hey Shannon, You know I do not have any trouble drinking alot at once anymore. I guess that started happening a few months ago. I do remember in the beginning having to do the baby sips which was really annoying. Maybe you should just put a post it on your forehead so people will stop asking you how much you lost. A few times, friends of friends have asked me about the surgery and how much I lost (which I am tired of talking about) I said that I lost 10 pounds can you believe it? They look at me like I'm crazy and that pretty much ends the conversation. Heehee. I am not saying to say this but the look on peoples faces when I have said that is priceless. Take care. Tavia

Hey Tavia, Hope all is well with you....Well, since you asked....just today, I went to the diner and ordered a salad and it was huge!!!!!!! Lettuce, tomatos, onions, mozzerella, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and on top were about 8 huge strips of grilled steak.....when the waitress put it down in front of me I almost got sad. I said to my husband wow...I wish I could eat this whole thing. But then I got back to reality, and separated it into 2 other boxes and I ate about 1/3 of it....Sometimes I miss a big ol plate of food. I dont know if it's a comfort thing, and taste thing, a head thing....or a combo of many different things, but every once in awhile it sneaks up on me. But.....I'm feeling great!!! I'm down 98-99lbs.....the 100lb mark is teasing me...soon enough it will be. Best wishes, love, Janean

Janean! How are you? How have you been? I have missed you around here! Wow you are almost at the century mark, good for you! I am so very happy for you!! I am sure you look fabulous! I do understand what you mean about seeing a big plate of food and wanted that "comfort" in it. You were good to snap back into reality though. I have learned to watch other people eat and lots of the time it just grosses me out how "piggie" some people are...I wont lie, I was the queen of the piggies back in the day! I never ever want to get that way again! Anyway, I am so happy to hear you are doing so well, really. Please make sure you update us on you, ok? Take care and love ya. Tavia
