Pat, sometimes it sure helps anyways... It can be WLS related or not, just something that we want to work on, ourselves... Take care Debra P

Great idea Deb. This thread will hopefully keep us all motivated. My goal is to exercise. I just joined the local YMCA this past Monday with two of my girlfriends. We've gone twice and I'm going alone tonight. I need to keep this a constant in my life because I still have alot to lose and need all the help I can get. I don't have any trouble with water but then I've always liked water. The other thing I need to watch is night time snacking. Getting too many carbs in. I do great all day but give me a night with a couple of hours to relax and I want to crunch, crunch, crunch. Thanks for starting this Debra and trying to keep us on the straight and narrow. Lisamarie, I love your new picture. I'm having my hair cut and colored tonight and I'm really thinking of having several inches cut off to go along with my new emerging figure. I went shopping for new blue jeans Saturday and was finally able to buy a size 16 - from a size 28/30 to a 16 in 9 months - go figure. Have a great day everyone. Cindee 310/214/???

Cendee, I sure hope it keeps us ALL motivated.. Well it is worth a shot anyways.... Having friends sure help working out as well.... I am also a night time snacker so now i try to save my one carb or something like fruit to snack on while watching some TV, it seems to help some. well you have a great day hun ~hugs~ Debra P

Well, I hate exercising!!! especially by myself. I don't want to spend $ on a gym membership that is 30 minutes from home. I have a newer fan bike and a manual treadmill, but just am not motivated! My goal will be to try to get on the bike at least every other day as a starting point and work myway up to 2X daily until I can get in at least 30 minutes total each day. Once the cold weather breaks, I plan on walking at lunch time with a co-worker. I like the idea of this type of thread. Thanks Debra!! LindaM

Linda, Yeah once the warmer weather comes it will be better for all of us I bet....I know right near our new house there is a trail that will be great for walking and mountain biking. Plus all the yard work at the new house will keep me exercising as well. Take care ~Hugs~ Debra P

Wow Deb, What a great idea!! My goal for this week is to stay on target with my eating, and not get out of control just because I lost my 10% pre op weight. I got a little out of control today and want it to stop there. My goal is working towards lifelong sanity around my eating behavior. Nice idea! You're the best, Amy

Hi Debra, I think that listing a weekly goal is a great idea--I often Journal, but I thiink that if I post my goals publicly--I will feel that I am accountable and then I will try just a little harder to achieve my weekly goal. This coming week I would like to exercise regularly (aqua exercises at least four times and walking at least 10,000 steps each day). I would also like to try to lose approximately 1.5 pounds per week for the next four weeks (six month check-up on March 20th). So I have listed a weekly goal and a monthly goal. for March. Thanks again for the idea! Be Blessed, Marian S.C. 242.4/179.2/gaol125-130
