Support group in Fishkill, NY area?

Are there any support groups in Dutchess county?

Hi Patricia - great question! None that I know of, but I'm in the process of trying to get one together in the Newburgh area. I'm researching what I need to do and who I need to contact and what's involved. I will post here when I get further down the line. In the meantime, if you hear of one, please be sure to let me know. St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie is the nearest one! I live in Fishkill and I either go to that one or the one down in Westchester where I had my surgery (which is too far)! I think the next one is March 15 or 16. Let me know if you want more information, I have it at work. Vi

Thanks for the info, I am having my RNY surgery 3/7, and don't think I will be able to go so soon. I am having my surgery at WCMC, did you have yours there?

I emailed you back and I just realized you have Dr. Cerabona too. That was my surgeon and he is wonderful! You are in great hands! Email me if you need anything, you live so close to me!! Vi P.S. They have a great support group at his office. Have you gone yet? I got a lot out of it. I just wished it wasn't so far! I think the next one might be next Wednesday, before your surgery!

I just checked the schedule at work at the next meeting at St. Francis is Tuesday, 3/21. Two weeks after your surgery!
