Help!! Really bad upper rightside abdominal pain....

I have a really bad pain on my upper rightside abdominal area that shoots all the way around to my back. It's a stabing kind of pain. Could it be my gallbladder? I called my Dr. and I'm waiting on his call. I would appreciate any info. I'm 31/2 months out. Mari M

It could be anything. If it's really bad, call the doctor's office again and tell them that you have to speak to him now or go to the ER and then he'll have no choice but to see you there. I hope you feel better soon. Joanne

I've called his office but we're having trouble in reaching each other because I'm out of town on business, but I'm trying to gey back immediately. The pain has easied up a little. Thanks for your response. Mari M

Jaime I did speak with my surgeon and he told me to seek immediate attention. It was alittle hard because I am out of town on business, but I did found a good Dr. here in florida. It turned out to be a stomach virus plus the flu. I'm still running a high fever and I feel really week but I will be back in New York next week and I will see my Dr. upon my arrival. I'm just trying to keep hydrated because I've been vomiting and with runs. I schedule my meetings in the morning and by noon I'm in bed. Thank you for your concern. MariM
