Debra, Thank you very much I really need some friends that understand . Everyone aroundme is just saying "if you put some more effort into it you can do it! Cant they see after 26 years I havent been able and now I am so unhappy and unhealthy!Today I am seeing my new neurologist (the other moved away) The last time I saw him 3-4 months ago He really laid it on my about the weight . I know I probably gained more plus of course I am even more bloated due to my period which I just got after 6 months !The GYN told me It stopped due to my weight . so I am leaving in ten min for the appt. I hope he is supportive on my decision!.......Kitty

Kitty, Well I hope it goes well and keep us posted when you come back....Some times DR's are not supportive and well you have to do this or YOU and you alone. Do not let anyone try and change your mind once you made that choice. I think we ALL know here how if it was "that" simple we would not have needed the surgery. Some times people just don't get it. Hang in there and keep researching and such ~hugs~ Debra P

Welcome to the boards. I can realate to your profile. I am a registered nurse and for too long i worked too many hours, taking care of my family and patients and everyone around me and neglected to see what was happening to my own health. Nurses tend to do that too often. Anyway i finally made the decision to change my life and it was the best decision i ever made. I am lucky that i have been able to take time off of work and focus on me and my family. I do miss nursing but not enough to go back just yet. I had surgery in October and it was the best decision i ever made. Email me any time. LisaMarie
