pre op liquids

Hi everyone, I am scheduled for surgery in am however I did not stay on the liquid diet as requested by my surgeon. I had been on full liquids before and had bad experiances with that. I spoke with the nutrtionist and she told me to drink a shake inthe am and two sensible meals which I have done. Anyone else with this problem and did it effect your surgery I am having the lap band. Thanks
