I have remained the same weight for 1 week and I am 3 weeks post op. is this normal. Also I am having a hard time with bowel movements. ouch. I do feel good and I donot get as tired as I use too. I have no regrets with the surgery I just have to get use to the life change.

Debbie, Yes stall and all are normal, as our weight goes down our bodies need time to adjust and catch up. As long as your eating what you should then I bet you will start losing again soon. As for the BM's well some of us have to take stuff to help and I am one of them. I got a script from my surgeon for Glycolax, I take it every other day and it seems to keep them softer. I know that is not a very good topic but hey it is what we have to live with after WLS. Take care Debra P

Lord do I know the problems of the poop! Have you tried the RX powder, Miralax? It makes everything softer to come out. It wont send you to the toliet every two minutes like say a saline laxative. I put it in my coffee every morning. The GI doctor said you have to take it every day for it to work properly and it can take a few days to kick in. You can also try Milk of Magnasia to help with the transit problem of consipation. Hang in there! Tavia

Debbie next wednesday I will be three weeks with my band. In week one I dropped 16 lbs and since then I gained 3-4 and this morning I am back to the 16 lb mark. I too am stressing out but my doctor told me the same thing, that our bodies are adjusting! Kenny
