emergency surgery again uggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi all goodmorning sorry its been so long since i've updated but my life has been very hectic ok alittle about what has happened ,,,,, as some of you know i had surgery on jan 11 to tie off a shunt i had put in 12 years ago after having wls and loosing 147 lbs i was getting real bad low preasure headaches so i went to nero surgeon and he said it had to be tied off cause i was loosing to much brain fluid so i said ok fix me . they did and i was fine exept my insission would not stop draining . so last thursday i started not being able to even touch my back it hurt so bad so i thought i did to much at work went home and went to bed woke up friday and went to work ,, about 11:30 am i couldnt stand the pain any more and called the doc his nurce said come in at 1:15 so i finished up the apt i was in and went in to see him ,,,,,,, the next thing i new i was being takin across the street and was admitted into the hostpital for emergency surgery on sat morning ,, to make a longer stary short they took a culture called in a infectios disease specialist and took a culture of my insision on my back started me on high doeses of antibiotics and sat morning was taken in at 8:00 am got out of sur. at 12 recovery at 130 put into nero icu because my blood preassure was only 42 over 31and my heart rate was only 23 it finally came up and i went out on the regular floor then on sunday the 1 of the docs in the nero office came into see me and said i had a staff infection and i probly got it from my last surgery because it was right on my last surgery sight and had gone into my back and spine so i got out of the hospital tuesday and now every day i have to go to the hospital and (sorry they also had to put in a pick line which is a perminant iv in my arm)have a new bottle of antibiotics hooked up to my pick line and i have to carry it around with me for the next 6 weeks i have alittle iv pump and a bag of it in a fanny pack,,, i cant go back to work for 6 weeks and i cant drive for 2 and on and on and on.... so hopefully this takes care of the problem and i can be normal and get back on track with work and life oh yeah and my daughter said tell them everything mom the doc said if i hadn't came in when i did and if i had waited till monday i could have died cause it was in my spine and he had to flu**** out for about 10 minutes well thats about it i'll let you all know how i'm doing i go for my follow up on the 13th hopefully my blood work is better hugs to all lisa ps deb how is the house going ?

(((HUG))) lisa sorry you had to go back in for emergency surgery and that you have an infection. I know one of my dads for a daycare child is with that and its very difficult! OMG lisa! A Staph infection in your spine! Thats no joke! You need to call/see your doctor when things start to go bad. It sounds like you may have waited a bit on this one! Do every thing they tell you to do, & I'm sure you will be just fine! I hope you're well soon! Linda

hi linda thanks for the reply im feeling much better but you see i was going to the doc 1 a week i had just been to see him on the monday before and he said i was doing so good he would see me in 2 weeks so i didnt really wait when it started to hurt thursday i just thought i had done to much at work wednsday i am a cleaner so if you got evicted or moved out of a house i would go in and clean it up and make it rentable again hugs lisa

Lisa, OMG hun I am so sorry you had to go through this! ~hugs~ I am soooo glad to hear you are doing better now and good thing you took care of it when you did! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that your recovery from this is full and quick. ~hugs~ Hun with all going on I can not believe you even remembered about my house. You are so sweet.... It is moving forward but very slow as we have to wait for the appraisal to be written up before we hear the offical word from the bank, that should be about 2 weeks. It was done on Monday so around Feb 22 or so, when we get our closing date. The officer at the bank said you are approved but it is all about the final "letter" as we all know from having this surgery. It is the GOLDEN Approval Letter. Hi Lisa, Oh my goodness!! I am so sorry you have to go through all of that. That really stinks, boy do I know. I know how one thing leads to another and that you go around in circles w/the problems.
