Well I saw my surgeon this morning. I have lost a total of 35.5 lbs since I started this adventure, but only 17.5 lbs since surgery. Yet my doctor was very pleased. She said I lost 12 lbs of body fat but gained 6lbs of water. My iron is extremely low, my B-12 is extremely low (now on shots) but my cholestral is normal now except my good cholestral is to low. She also wants me to stay on liquids and pureed food a while longer since I have been having so much trouble on soft foods. She also told me to start alittle more excerise, but not to much since my iron and b-12 is so low. She wants me to build it up alittle. Well, anyway I thought I would share and I hope everyone is doing great!!!!!! Karen

Hi Karen, You are doing wonderfully well--I too lost 19 pounds on the pre-op diet and only 12 the month after surgery--I lose very slowly--but then I am sixty and I have hashimoto"s disease( hypothyroid) --so I didn't expect to get to my goal all that quickly. The real point is to stick to the eating plan --TAKE THOSE VITAMINS RELIGIOUSLY--don't miss a day! Drink your water and you will lose the weight. I have only lost 59.6 pounds and I am five months out--BUT I am losing and I feel wonderful. My knees and back have stopped hurting and I am halfway to my goal. You should try to exercise--that may kickstart your weight loss--my best advise to you is to stay posative--and the weight will melt off! Be Blessed, Marian S.C. 242.4/182.8/goal 125-130??
