What a nice name for my problem. I found hardly anything via medical journals about my problem but this one seems to have the most information of use: http://www.ajronline.org/cgi/content/full/177/3/624 This is a quote from above journal. Tell me who this sounds like? "In patients with chronic intussusception, symptoms include vague epigastric pain that worsens with eating, nausea, and vomiting." Also: "Intussusception is a rare complication after gastric surgery with an incidence estimated at 0.1%. Intussusception of the distal small bowel through the jejunojejunal anastomosis is even less common." The jejunojejunal anastomosis is the Y connection, and that is where my problem is. I just hope my situation is acute not chronic. What luck I have! Tavia

Keep in mind this journal is taking about this happening at the connection by the pouch(gastric),not the jejunal connection, which is where this happened to me and even stranger to happen. Lord.

Tavia: I beleive I know of one person on the Grad board (? Racheal or Kricket I can't remember now) who had this intussusception...May want to join and post to ask about their experience!!! (A group w/ like 5000 members so bigger N means more chance of finding someone w/ similar RARE complication!) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG/ Take Care, Jamie Lap RNY 10/9/02 Dr. Singh 320/163 5'9'' (lost 45# before surgery) Plastics 6/9/04 & 11/11/2005 Dr. King http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=c1132518510 "Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections!"
