Approved!

Hello Ny'ers, I was finally approved after this year of the emotional roller coaster! My surgery is scheduled for March 13th, it's been a long road. Thanks to all of you, I read the boards at least 4 times a day getting such great information. I've looked for news from Tavia and so glad that all is behind her. I've followed every ones success, and read all the advice and I am so happy I can finally be on the loosing side with you all. For those still struggling with approval, it will come, it just takes time and a heck of a lot of patience. Love you all, Lucy C

Congratulations Lucy. I just read your profile and I say, "hats off to you" for sticking to it. You have been through so much but you will find it so worth the wait. One of my best friends started the process when I did (over a year ago) and went through the same turmoil you did (she also has DEFERRED care). At this point I think she's given up and I'm not sure how to keep encouraging her but telling her your story might do the trick. I live in Greece which is a very short distance from you. Hi Cindee, Tell your friend to not give up.....if she can change insurance go for it if she can't the one to one program is the only reason over 100 patients got denied coverage for WLS with deferred care. I will never ever go back to them. Congratulations on your loss WOW keep up the success! Let's get together, I belong to a support group and we do an outing once a month! I would like all the people that live in the general facinity to join us. Send me a note and I will tell you what's on the agenda for March. Lucy, YEAH that is great and congrats March will be here before you know it and you will be on the losing side. Now it is just the waiting game which everyone here knows I am SOOOO good at. Carly, I sent you a note last night....since we are both from Fairport. Dr. Galvin at RGH is doing my surgery. I've waited so long for this to happen. I saw my last date of October 24th come and go....but I did keep up my hope to have this surgery and changed insurance. Go figure within 2 days of receiving my paperwork I was approved. Thank goodness I didn't have to go through the appeal process again. Having shingles once was enough, I never want to have that again. Lucy
