Help with water...

Does anyone have problems getting in fluids? I was banded on Jan.11th and I've lost 23 lbs to date. I'm still in my mushie food phase. But I cant seem to get enough fluids. I feel like I hardly drink anything. Any ideas ?? Paula

Paula, I know it does not help much but some is eating ice chips, it made me feel like I was eating but I was really getting in my water as well. I also eat SF ice pops, that added some as well....also I kep****er with me ALL the time and would sip all day long. It took me a while to get up to the 64oz so keep trying hun, you will be there soon. ~Hugs~ Debra P

Paula, Try the water at different temperatures, if you have problems with ice water, try room temperature or luke warm. Try crystal light, it still counts as fluid. I know decaf coffee and tea count as fluids for RNY patients, I think it is the same for banding. I also liked the sugar free popsicles, or have some broth. College Inn has a garden vegetable, and roasted vegetable broth which is a great change to plain water. If nothing else just keep sipping all day long. Mary L
