Question re Snacking
Does anyone else feel the need to snack in the evenings? I say "feel the need" because I'm not hungry, just crave something crunchy. I usually choose fat-free pretzels with salsa or fat-free saltines with either peanut butter or swiss cheese. It must be just a habit but I need to break it. I'm really trying hard to reach the Century Club - only have 8 lbs to go (then 10 lbs to Onederland) but I'm afraid the snacking is slowing me down.
I'm looking for any and all suggestions. Thanks.

hi Cindee
I like the crunchy sounds myself.....and I would either take a piece of melba toast plan or with cream cheese.....then I started doing it to much so when I get like that at night I fill up a bottle of water and go stay in my bedroom so I'm not near the fridge.... you will have to find what works for you....are you attending any support groups you might be able to get more ideas of what people are doing to avoid the old habits.......but for me I just go up stairs to my room and stay there and refuse to go and get something to put in my mouth cause I know I'm not hungry at night its just old habits....
good luck in finding your trick to work for you......try putting your old picture on the fridge to remind you where you where coming from and where you don't want to be, you can post them on the fridge the cabinets and pantree if it helps you from late snacking....
or you can try snacking on and apple or pear that is crunchy
good luck hun.....

Cindee,
What Christine said sounds awesome....I have been doing the same thing so I might not be one to give advice. I notice it is when I am watching TV with hubby, if I keep myself busy I am not really thinking about it.
I make sure I eat enough at dinner and if I snack I try to do the popcorn though I think a better choice would be fruit like Christine said! I will work on this with you. ~hugs~
Hey congrats on being soooo close to the Century club AND Onederlan... You will be there soon but I know how excited I was for both.
Take care
