Restless??
Hi everyone....I am really begining to go nuts here. I am not sleeping well, tossing and turning all night. I cant seem to stay still. I am excercising all the time or outside walking or running around the park with the kids. I just cant seem to slow down these days. I feel like a kid with ADHD..... There are millions of things running through my head that i want to do but just not enough time in the day. I dont know how to slow down and relax. If i stop for a min i feel like i am wasting time lol......Any suggestions on how to slow down my mind and body.......

LisaMarie,
Hun I can understand but I always find the time to relax or so I think I do. I just try to shut off my mind but it does not always work...I know lately I have not been sleeping very good because of waiting to hear on the house and while I am sleeping I must be thinking of it, I try to stop it but I can not help it so I guess I can relate ~hugs~
I know that over the last couple of days since I was sick I was taking Tylenol PM and it was helping me to sleep. There really was nothing else to take for the cold, before surgery I would have taken Nyquil (sp?) but I think it might have to much sugar but I am not sure.
Well I hope you find something that will help you slow down some or relax ~hugs~ Keep us posted.

Hi Lisa,
It's wonderful that you have such renewed energy. It's wonderful that you have the stamina to do all the outdoor stuff with your kids! Congratuulations on that!
I use these on myself and my kids:
Get into a nighty night routine:
Take a nice warm bath before bed.
Get into bed with a book that doesn't interest you that much but lulls you,
Take along a cup of sleepytime or chamomile tea
Do not exercise after 6pm
THE HOUR BEFORE BED SHOULD BE DEVOTED TO QUIETING ACTIVITIES ONLY.
Soft music? Soothing scents?
No TV before bed (unless it makes you sleepy!)
If all else fails, ask your doctor if it's ok for you to take a Benedryl before bed...that can really help with a good night's sleep.
Good luck!
Amy
Thanks for the suggestions. I usually fall asleep with no problem, but then i wake up in the middle of the night and cant go back to sleep. If i take even 25mg of benadryl i will be completly knocked out and i cant do that because i have 4 kids 2 of them babies. And i will have a major hang over the next day.lol. Maybe i will have to take a bath in the middle of the night to try to get back to sleep. LOL.. Thanks again. Have a great day. LisaMarie
oh if you have babies then you know of that stuff that johnson and johnson makes i think its a lavender lotion? or hmmm i forget what the name of it is but its a calming lotion... i heard thats really good.. also try sleepy time tea... or chamomile...... or they make a natural pill called melatonin (spell check) or even a warm glass of 1% milk...
