Air in the un-attached stomach
I have been experiencing severe pain in my abdomin for several months. The c-scan I just had shows that there is air in my un-attached stomach. I guess this is supposed to be empty. I have already had my gall bladder and appendix removed because they thought this was the cause of the pain. Is anyone else experiencing similiar symptoms. Thanks for any help.

Hi Debbie,
I developed gastric distention in the bypassed section of my stomach a couples days post-op. This is just a fancy way of saying a lot of air in it. It was blown up w/air. I had a drain placed in it for 6 weeks, which seemed to fix the problem. It was causing me pain as well. I do not know if my situation is the same as yours, but I wish you luck!
