Home from plastics. They were done on the 25th and 2 days later I am home and feeling well. Amazing! Only took one pain pill because I was so tired. Didn't really bother with the pump. I am a bit uncomfortable but can't say I am in pain. Most uncomfortable are the drain tubes in the pubic area. I had Procedure: Belt Lipectomy; Bilateral Mastopexy; Bilateral Brachioplasty in conjunction with insurance approved Panniculectomy. My tummy, butt and outer thighs are so flat, underarms not waving and the incisions are so straight and thin. Have not seems the breats yet. He will remove those bandages on Tuesday. Surgery went shorter than expected. 8 hours instead of 10. I am tired and will write more when I can Mary

Deb, I had a total of 6 drains, the 2 at the underarms he took out this morning before I left the hospital. It was quick and ouched a bit. Made my eyes water but it was over so quick. I have one at each hip and those don't bother me at all. Now the 2 in the pubic area they are quite annoying. Tend to pull a bit and are annoying but I can live with them for a while. Let me tell you this dr is truly an artist. I have gotten to see a few other who have used him from our support group and his symetry is awesome. The cuts are thin and straight. The tightness of my tummy and but look so awesome even though I am quite swollen from all the IV's. They gave me a lot more than usual as they wanted me VERY hydrated because of the blood clot history. I am brave and got on the scale it shows me6 lbs heavier than pre surg and I am confident that will be gone quickly as I am peeing a lot and the swelling is already starting to go down. (My fingers & toes look like fat little sausages LOL) He said 6lbs from tummy and I can't remember how much from arms. So all in all I am guessing to be 10 lbs or so lighter after I heel some. He made me a cute little innie belly button and my pubic area looks the way it is supposed to for the first time in my life LOL. He really lifted that nicely. I can't wait to see it in a few more weeks. It's only been 48 hours and I am already thrilled. He also has a sense of humor and I adore that. He said he will give me a copy of my pics so I didn't take any naked before pics. When I get them I will be happy to email you before/after pics. My husband was watching as he drew on me and was amazed at how maticulous he was, I asked if he was always artistic and he said yes (But I already knew that) Can you tell I feel wonderful and love Dr. Joshua King? Jamie, Yes I do adore Dr. King. I love that he has a sense of humor and is so sweet. The hernia, that is funny. When Dr King opened me up he found that there was in fact no hernis, what happened was, The 2 main muscles that run down your tummy (forming the center of the six pack) had seperated and caused the lump/discomfort. So he called Dr. Singh and told him. So Dr. Singh never had to come. Dr King stitched the muscles back together when he did all the muscle tightening. He actually asked if I knew Jaime I told we had in fact met and He said you and I were the 2 most up and ready to go patients he had ever had. I was honored to be put in such good company. Now that I will not be bowling on Monday nights for a while I hope to make it to one of your support groups. I hear you run a great group. And since you have been to our I am looking forward to visiting the northern folks soon. HUGS Mary

Claire, My charges were lumped together so I am not sure what just the LBL would be. Here are what my charges were: My insurance approved a panniculectomy with a quick telephone appeal when they originally denied me the surgery. So I decided to upgrade and do some other things at the same time. Here is my quote: Procedure: Belt Lipectomy; Bilateral Mastopexy; Bilateral Brachioplasty in conjunction with insurance approved Panniculectomy. Surgical Fee: $11,500 - 1,150 (Multi procedure discount) = 10,350 (includes pre & post operative care) Hospital & Anesthesia charges: Facility 2,800, Anesthesia 1,352, Total 4,152. Total charge out of pocket is 14,502. Mary
