I am home and banded!
First a big thank you to all the kind well wishers over the past week, it was great to hear from evryone! My surgery was a bit delayed I was admitted at 1 pm and surgery was not until 5 pm. Recovery room, and first night was extremely unplesant. But I'm home now sipping and not in much pain! I do have many second thoughts at the moment, although Im not hungry I would love to sit down to a large meal! Guess thats part of my mental hunger?
I will take it one day at a time!
Thanks again
Kenny
Kenny - great to hear that you are home and doing well so far. It gets easier as the days go by. Yes, that's your head talking and you need to get over that desire to eat large meals! That takes a while, but it feels good to pass up all the garbage we tend to want to eat! Good luck on your recovery - hopefully it will be fast and trouble free. Remember, we're all here if you ever need us.

Welcome back Kenny!
Sorry your night wasn't pleasant.
I am the same way except I'm having cravings. I had a craving for Key Lime Pie....not something I eat too much, go figure. How long are you on liquids for? I am on them until February 14 and the Doc gives me the ok to go on mushies. I had gained 7 pounds from the last supper/IV fluid gain. But I already got 5 back off. Good luck to you, I am sure you will do great!

Kenny,
Welcome home ! Congrats to you ! I am sorry that you were in pain for a bit but I am glad to hear that things have gotten better for you.
Hey, I have not had my surgery yet but I am right there with you on the mental/head hunger deal . I just started my Medifast which I am on for 8- weeks and A meal sounds great to me too ! I am not really hungry though . We will fight those demons together ...Okay ?
Your philosophy on the "ONE DAY AT A TIME IS RIGHT ON !!!"
May I add to that ......"ONE MOMENT AT A TIME "
I hope you feel better and better with each passing day !
Take Care and God Bless...

Kenny,
YEAH you are a big LOSER now. I am glad you are doing well hun, sorry about the first night...it gets better every day. ~Hugs~
I do have to say I was depressed for a while after because I was in LOVE with food and I had to mourn that I was not able to eat like that anymore. So much better once you start to see/feel your weight loss but it still pops in from time to time.....~hugs~

Dear Kenny -- congrats on your surgery and I wish you much success. I had my surgery on October 24 and the only problems I've had have to do with my mental hunger -- and wanting to eat and not being able too! I've come to the conclusion that it's one day at a time like you said. Good luck and keep us posted.
