Ladies, I was wondering if always feeling cold is a side affect of wls that I wasn't aware of. It seems like from the moment I got out of the operating room, I've been freezing. I know there's alot less insulation (almost 71 lbs) but this is crazy. I remember being this size and smaller (many moons ago) and never feeling this cold. Besides turning up the heat at home and drinking warm liquids what else can I do. Pat 303/232.6/???

Hi Patty, I was prone to hot flashes, still am. I was terribly cold about 4-5 weeks after surgery. Found out I was lacking in iron. PA put me on iron and I've been not so cold lately. It took about a month before it began working. PS. Excellent weight loss so far! congratulations! LindaM

Yes, I must say I'm always cold now -- like you I put on sweatshirt, socks, slippers, etc. and still cold -- Oh well I guess it's a side effect I'll have to deal with to be thin and healthy. Can't wait for the summer
