Good afternoon everyone!
Today I saw my PCP again b/c my blood was a little off from the PST but he took it again and everything is in the clear! He said the clearance letter over to the surgeons office/hospital. Yipeee. I am down another 6 pounds in less than two weeks so I need to get this surgery over and done with.
I have to be at the hospital at 6:30am and surgery is for 8:30am. I am glad to get the surgeons nice and fresh so to speak.
I dont remember if I wrote what they were planning on doing. They are going to completely take out the old Y-connection intestines. They are going to built a whole new Y-connection(three new anastomosis' down there), shorten the roux limb, take out adhesions, look for hernias, take some skin off and revise my old open scar. I look at it this way, I am going to have my own customized bypass. Of course all of this will be done open, what fun for me.
I am not scared of having another surgery, pains that follow, and the risk of developing post-op complications. However, I do have the slight fear that I will never be able to move on. I am tired of being the super surgical patient, what a life I have right now! Lord have mercy this all needs to come to an end. I hope and pray it will soon. The surgery Gods need to be good to me this time around! Wish me luck and wish the surgeons luck...they need it!
Thank so much to mostly everyone on here for being so supportive, non-judgemental and kind towards me, it truly does me the world to me!
I will have my husband post on here whenever he goes home to let you guys know how I'm doing! I have to go into the city for the rest of the day to take care of something to do w/my 94 year old great aunt before I go in tomorrow, so I will not be on for the rest of the day. I'll talk to you guys soon! Take care.
