how to get enough protein

I just started Pureed stage, I can't seem to get in enough protein. Any suggestions? Kathleen

Kathleen, Are you drinking the protein shakes? They are great with carb control milk which gives you 8 grams of protein for an 8 oz glass. Also the Stallone puddings are 20 grams for 6oz which is a lot for you being so new but if you broke that up it should work fine. Also Christine from here told me a trick a while back, put your protein powder into everything you eat, add it to your scrambled eggs ect..... I wish you all the best....give it time, it will work. Have you tried Ricotta cheese yet? Take some part skim ricotta, a little tomato sauce, mix and heat it up in the microwave. It turns almost into liquid form so it slides down easy. It's actually very yummy. Or you can do the Ricotta, splenda and cinnamon for a tasty sweet treat! Good Luck!

Tavia, How is that Ricotta, splenda and cinnamon? I can not imagine them together but it really is good? or is it something that you eat to get by? I know the stallone puddings are like that for me, I would not eat it all the time if I did not need to protein...does that make sense? Debra P

I think it tastes really good! Like the inside of a cannoli.(sort of) Dont put it in the microwave or anything, just mix and eat it cold. I do sometimes feel like a fatty eating it though. But that is just in my head.

I'm still on pureed. I eat two pureed meals a day and three portein shakes. (20 g or more per serving) Also, instead of milk, I sometimes mix the protein with yogurt or sf pudding to replace a shake. I use fitday.com to track my intake and am usualy between 80 and 100 grams.
