Shannon, Hun I hope you are feeling better soon... ~hugs~ I know starting back for me really took it out of me, I was going to go back full time but changed my mind and for the 1st week I only worked part time, it sure helped.....I was so scared of getting sick and all at work. Well take care and feel better soon ~hugs~ Debra P

Hello! Pre op diet: B: 2 scrambled eggs, 1/4 c. OJ S:popcorn, 1c L: chef salad (took off 1/2 the meat put it in a to go box for snacks) D: pork chop, 1c rice, steamed asparagus. I am having a treadmill nightmare. My dad gave me his treadmill and I started using it faithfully every morning. One day I smelled something off when I was using it, but paid no attention. The next day I noticed smoke. The damned thing has a 250 pound limit (I am 283 currently) and so I am effectively TOO FAT to use the tread mill! It was working out so well for me. So perfectly convenient. So doable. I am miserable about it! I go for walks when I can, but I live down a long dirt road which is 1/2 iced over and 1/2 muck. It's real drag!! Ugh. I just want to get a hold on this thing and it feels like the powers that be are against me!!! I guess it's just another challenge to master, but it's so painfully unfair!! My rant. Thanks for listening. Hugs, Amy

Amy, Hun I am sorry to hear about your treadmill, I know that most of them only hold 250 and I was pushing my old one as well. I know how frustrating it is when you want to work out and can not!!! Hang in there hun....Can you go walking at a local mall or strip of stores? I try to walk about a town while waiting for my hubby to get out of work when it is not to cold. Are you going to work on getting another? I know they are not cheap and the ones that hold higher weights are even more. I wish you all the best and keep us posted ~hugs~ Debra P

1-10-06 Early AM protein drink B 3/4 c Uncle Sam hot cereal 4 oz carb control yogurt L 1 inch of a slice of cheese pizza (way too much for me and the stuff hurt like heck going down) 6 PM protein drink D @ 7:30 PM 1 oz porterhouse steak, 1 tsp broccoli with crushed cashews (again, the protein was too much so I had to stop eating). Monday I see the gastroenterologist to see why things keep sticking at the bottom of the esophagus...will probably have to get scoped to get a good view (at least that's what my pcp thinks). It will be nice to eat somewhat normally...I've not been able to since getting off stage 2.
