Jamie- Hi! Thank you so much for all of that info. I will look into the sugar free syrups definately!! You were right about the local surgeons at Ellis. My dr is Dr Clarke. I guess I should be thankful that this is only for five weeks I just keep thinking that each day brings me one day closer to surgery and a new life/lifestyle!! Sounds like you have done a great job since your surgery. I am glad you have been so dedicated and successful! I am motivated to do the same. I did the ready to drink chocolate medifast pre-op and post and I found it nasty tasting. I just couldn't continue using it very long. A few weeks ago I gave half a case of them away to a friend who loves them. I guess everyone has different tastes. Good luck to you Tara. -Dee

Hi Tara, Losing with the lapband is a much slower process but I am losing about 1-2 lbs a week which is right on track so I'm pleased with that and now that I have proper restriction I am loving my band! Dee
