Need some thoughts.....Long sorry
Hi Terri....thanks for the imput. I am actually not to far from my BS actually. I was attenting Hunter College right before attending St Vincents Hospital School of Nursing. The school that i was attending most recently was more of a "beauty school" but it mainly focused on esthetics, microdermabrasion, laser etc. It was something that i was always interested in. I am a Registered Nurse and most of my experience over the last 10 years has been pediatric psychiatric nursing. Very stressful at times but i love the kids. This was a little change for me. I think i am just going to relax and enjoy the beginning of my new life. I have 4 kids, ages 14, 10, 3 and 2. I will consider school again later on. Thank you so much. Everyone has been so helpful....

*I* personally can not relate to your struggles (as a mother). All my 5 of my babies are 4 legged and have fur (MEOW!)...No one can make this very important decision for you (of course you know that), but ask yourself what is most important? What are the +/- of each choice? Choices have consequences both +/- I encourage you to really explore these options and give time (no impulse that may leave u saying I shoulda/woulda/coulda)....write down your thoughts and feelings.
Although I do not believe MOTHERS PLACE is at home, I do beleive if that is your choice and you are able (mentally/emotionally/physically/financially etc) to do that go for it.
We only have a small amount of time on this earth, WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SPEND IT DOING?
OR How can you find balamnce between work/school/home etc...
You will make the best choice for you! Your a survivor like us all! We are surviving our DISEASE Of MORBID OBESITY! Youre a strong, intelligent woman and are capable of change and you'll get through this change in your life. HUGS of support!
Jamie (who has been a lifelong learner, grad HS 1990, 2 yr assoc degree became RN age 19, then took 8 more yrs to pursue her BSN, then 2 yr to get her MSN as a psych NP, and is now AGAIN in school for her Doctorate as DNS educator!) School will always be there for me and you!
