Hello all ~hugs~
Well I just am feeling really bad about this so I wanted to post to you all, my AMOS family.. We are not going to be getting this house after all because he is not willing to let us have the septic scoped, we really do not know why he will not allow this since they are not digging anything up but just putting a camera through the system. But for what every reason it is not meant to be, I know and believe this but it still sucks!
We have spend money to have the inspection, which is needed and the money for the loan app fee which it will not happen now so we lose that and have to pay it again when we have a new house to work on. I guess we should have waited for that one! Live and learn I guess.....
Well thanks for letting me vent here... Love:
Debra P

I know your upset over this, I know how badly you want a home. BUTTTTTTT the man up stairs must have thought that place wasnt the right one for you Things like this happen for a reason, if thats the ONE thing I have learned over the past couple months, its that.
Dont get too down and remember there is a MORE PERFECT home just waiting for you and your DH

Brenny,
Hun thank you so much for your supportive words....I believe the way you do that all things happen for a reason. I do though get upset at times as this is very stressful and thought we had this as a done deal.. I know this means there is a better home for us out there and now we just have to take the time to find it.
Thanks again hun... Your the greatest...

Hey Deb...
I'm very sorry about the house. I'm not really sure what the purpose of the "scope" is...living on long island I don't have sewers either but would never have thought to do something like that. Is the owner giving a reason as to why he doesn't want it done? Why would that be the reason to pull out of the house if it's the one you really want? I'm sorry...I'm just confused.
If this doesn't come thru for you, I'm sure that there will be another house that you like even more that will work out.
Things always happen for a reason.

Linda,
Hun being I am from LI as well I was not really sure how/what a septic was but the inspector and my hubby explained it to me. The reason for the scoping is to see (with a camera) what is going on within the system and tank. The inspector reported a problem but the guys septic company (owners friend) said it worked perfectly. So the only way to know who is correct is to bring in a 3rd party to scope the system to see if there are any problems for sure. The owners are refusing to let this happen so we are not going to purchase the house as if there are problem as OUR inspector said it could cost us $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 to repair or get a new one....THAT is why the deal is off!!!
The only reason I can think why he does NOT want this done is that there IS a problem......it is not skin of his nose to have this done, no digging up anything or cost.....we are taking care of the cost for this!
This all sounds kind of weird to me I have to say because if he does not let us do this then the purchase will not happen anyways so what will he lose if we DID find something???? Weird to me
O well.....thanks for posting hun ~hugs~

Debra,
I am sorry to hear that the house fell through, but you know it was for a good reason! YOU DO NOT WANT SEPTIC PROBLEMS! The fact that the seller will not let you test it tells me that there is something really wrong with it that he is hoping will not be found. And believe me, someone will buy it without checking and then be STUCK with a huge, smelly, EXPENSIVE repair which is the last thing you need when you buy a new house.
Everything happens for a reason, and I believe a better house will come along for you. Hey, the house down the street from me is for sale....come to Staten Island to live! SH
