I took an extra early train into the city (LIRR) and then walked to my office from Penn. I work on 52nd and 5th. it was a REALLY nice walk and I just think back to a year ago and I would NEVER have been able to do this walk!!!! I guess this is the good thing about the transit strike!! Lisa, Makes ya think and feel lucky to have had the surgery right? Hun I hope it ends soon for everyone that has to travel to NYC. It must really be bad since it is so close to the holidays and so many people are there anyways.. Take care and have a great day! ~Hugs~ Debra P

Hi Lisa, My poor husband travels everyday through queens, then manhattan than to NJ to get to work. He gets up at 4 in the morning to do this trip back and forth everyday. Because we literally live on the border of Queens and Nassau, Dennis takes the queens bus to the subway in Jamaica then takes the PATH train into Hoboken. Today he took the car and he left at 3 in the morning b/c there was going to be so much traffic everywhere! I called him on his cell and he just got to work 10 minutes ago!! My poor husband said there is gridlock EVERYWHERE and everyone is screaming at each other. Happy holidays right? hee-hee. Gosh my husband is never going to get home. Oh well, take care and have a great day. Tavia

I hear ya Lisa....I work 2 blocks past you and one avenue over! The walk wasn't bad but it was COOOOOLD this morning. The evening commute was a bigger nightmare and they say tomorrow may be worse with all the Wed matinee folks in town! I have a dr. appt in the morning so I decided after a 3 1/2 hr commute home to take the whole day OFF tomorrow! YAY!!!!
