Hellooo everyone!
I am sure most of you post-ops by now have had positive and negative comments said to them. I am wondering out of everything that has probably been said to you, what has been the worst and best comment?
For me, I usually get the same things said to me but it different ways. It's kind of funny at this point. The conversation always starts off nice but then the comments start flying.
My best comment I think would be when my husband tells me how "he doesn't care how much I weigh as long as I smile" or that one of my good friends calls me tinkerbell all the time. Never in a million years would I think I would be called "tinkerbell"...its more like "dumbo". heehee
The worst comment I think is a toss up b/wn being called frankenstein and asked if all of my complications were really a "cover-up" for an affair the surgeon and I are having. Not funny. This was said by the attending surgeon(who is a member of my surgeons practice) while I am sitting in the ER w/a bad gallbladder. Stupid.
So I am interested to hear what you guys have to say! Take care and have a great day!

The only comment I hate is when people (mostly strangers) tell me I need to get a new bra b/c my "girls" are sagging. One person I barely knew actually hoisted my "girls" up to show me where I should put them. I poslitely told that person to remove her hands from me or I was going to put mine around her neck. I'm not a violent person, I'm usually very happy-go-lucky, but who did this person think she was anyway.
Other than that, I'm had many positive comments, some have bowled me over with thier kindness...
Enjoy your holidays,

Wow.. that was so rude L of someone to do that to you. I can't even imagine such a thing.
As for me.. I'm very fortunate as to not have had any negative comments yet. I have so many wonderful things said, I look so tiny now, I'm told that I look so much younger which is always nice to hear. I don't know how people can say anything negative..for me it's been the most wonderful thing ever. I got my life back. It's as if God has given me another chance to do things right. Eat healthier and take of myself. I don't want to mess it up again. I'm too thankful for the chance!
God Bless~

Of course I'm just a "baby" post-op and I'm sure I've got months of stupid comments to come, but the one that annoys me right now is when my BEST friend at work says that I'm "so lucky" that I throw up and get sick or just can't eat much all day (when I'm having a bad day) and that she wishes that would happen to her. I keep trying to explain to her that while I am VERY grateful that I have had my surgery, having food stuck in your chest on occasion or not wanting to eat at all isn't something most people crave when it can make you very sick.
Of course I'm thinking of taking a more postive approach and telling her next time that if she just gains another 20 lbs she'll be eligible for the surgery too and she can be just as "lucky" as me by getting it for herself.
I love her and I know she means well and for the most part is REALLY happy for me, but sometimes I see a twinge of jealousy come out, like when she told me the other day that my neck was going to get too thin because I already had a thin face when I started. She asked me what I was going to do when that happened and I laughed and said I'd live with a thin neck over a big a$$ anyday!
