Flu and Cold Medicine

This is my first year post-op and since we are now entering Flu and Cold season I wanted to ask people what is OK to take for cold/flu? I know we have restrictions on pain medicines (i.e. NSAIDS). What does everyone use post-op?

I used Tylenol Cold And Flu recently since my doctor told me anything with Tylenol would be ok. Just be careful of the sucrose! I took it twice in one day and I think it was too much for me! (Even though it only amounted to about 2 oz.) Vi

I took a flu shot to help combat the more severed season illnesses. BUT i am sure ill get some normal colds and to my surprise my doctor ok'd NYQUIL and said no PILL bigger then an M&M sized. OF course should i get a nasty cold, I will phone then and clear what i should take! GOOD LUCK STAY WELL LISA

Stephen, I would have to agree with Violet, anything Tylenol should be ok as long as the surgars are not that high. I have not needed any yet but I am sure I will be asking the same thing... Debra P
