I used mederma years ago and it did nothing for me, though it did make my skin itch -- I think it's supposed to peel off layers of skin which is what caused the itching. But I had a keloid scar and those are really hard to get rid of! Recently I bought a small tube of cream at Walmart called Scar Zone by Sudden Change and that seems to work the best for me -- it even faded my keloid a bit.

I am trying Dove intensive firming lotion. It has Sea-weed extract and Collagen in it. I can not use cocoa butter or any kind of shea butter, it makes me itch and welt up. So I am trying this on my entire body, to see if it helps with skin elasticity and for the scars. I am only 2 3/4 weeks out and the little circles from the staples are already looking much much less noticable. I had 2 C-sections from the belly button down. And is now barely noticable at all, you really have to look hard to see anything maybe just a hairline. I didn't use anything but regular lotion back then. Shannon Arnold 257/231/???
