Scary ICE out there...

Morning new York! I went to start the car to drive my 1 1/2 hrs to work & couldn't take more than 3 steps outside. SOLID ICE!!!!! I wil not be driving on this! We have it here in Fishkill too! But I have a 2 hour delay at work and the kids have a 2 hour delay at school so I'm hoping by 10:30 it will be better so I can get out! I was home (sick) yesterday... I think I have the flu (oh joy... now I wish I'd gotten that shot!) but I'm going to try to make it in since the office is only 1.5 miles from my house and it will be a short day! Vi

Yep... We have a 2 hr delay here too! Now I am waiting to see if hubby will be home or if he had to stay at work for mandatory overtime. If he does, I will be forced to get exercise and walk the kids to the bus stop. Our van has electrical problems and I have trouble starting it in winter. If he doesn't...it's a long ride in the ice from Goshen...and I get the challenge of keeping the kids quiet while he tries to sleep-lol. Kristine

Linda, It was really bad around 5am but right now it is so much better and they have the roads clear over the mountain. You still have to take it slow but it is ok. Are you staying home today? It should be good soon hun if you want to venture out. Just take it slow...and be safe! Debra P

Debra, Thanx for the update. I see most of my patients between 6:30 & 8:00 because they have to have fingersticks before breakfast. i t didn'tpay to wait til the roads were cleaned. i stayed home! Linda
