I DONT EAT RIGHT HELP
OK. IM NEW TO POSTING, ALTHOUGH I DO COME IN AND READ TIME TO TIME. BUT I NEED SOME ADVICE NOW. I HAD A ROUGH DAY EATING-WISE AND AM EXTREMELY UPSET NOW.
I MISSED BREAKFAST AND HAD A BOTTLE OF WATER. FOR LUNCH I HAD A HALF A TURKEY AND CHEESE WRAP, BUT IT DIDNT SIT WELL.
THEN FOR DINNER I HAD A RICEBALL... I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT MADE ME GO OFF AND CRAZY TODAY TO EAT LIKE THIS. IM 4 MOS POST OP AND ITS TOO EARLY TO DO THIS... DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CHEATING STORIES THAT MADE U FEEL LIKE THIS???
TRICIA
Sure we all do, and I think that we test ourselves from time to time. I don't know about 4 months post op- but I am 13 months out and I try to eat a whole plate and only get a few forkfulls down. It seems that you are not eating what is right either, rice is hard to digest as well as Turkey, try something softer, and gradually introduce. Stress can cause us to get into our old habits.. watch it.
Go to a support group if this continues, if it doesn't then you learned. I tried to drink a milkshake as I never had any trouble with anything, and I thought that I would die!!! SAY DUMPING??" Never really knew about it but I do now. I took a chance and went crazy and now I know that I will not do that again. Look at what you are eating and see the nutritionist if possible and work out a menu.
Good Luck

Tracia,
Hun I think we all can relate to days like this... I know I have them every now and again. The biggest thing for me is to stop the cycle before it gets out of hand, I swore I would never let things get me like it did in the past! I worked to hard to have this surgery and working the tool to waste my time and money going back to my old ways. I still have problems with getting in exercise and I am hoping to change that soon but it is a constant battle for me.
Well I wish you the best hun and post often, it sure does help! ~hugs~

Hi Tricia,
First of all, welcome to the boards!
We all eat unwisely at times--Remember that we are changing the bad habits of a lifetime--I have troouble eating breakfast most mornings--To make up for this I try to drink a protein shake (I use Nectar--caribbean cooler --200 calories --50 grams of protein). I get a lot of my protein that way and I feel energetic for at least the morning hours.
The wrap and the riceball are both difficult to digest--I am surprised that you didn't have a horrible "dump".
As for what made you go off--well ,"head-Hunger" could be the cause--wanting the old --bad for you foods that you miss. Don't feel bad--it happens to all of us. Just start over and do what is good for you today--Today is the first day of the rest of your life. ENJOY IT!!!
Be Blessed,
Marian S.C.
